EATRIGHT® COOKIES: Gingerchoc, Gingernuts (Ingredients You Can Pronounce)
What can we say, they are divine. A good 'no nasties' product. Minimally processed, using naturally gluten free flours, vegetarian friendly, non GMO, GE free ... a no-nut ginger-nut [“(g.-nut, small cake of g.-b, Du. koek cake); g.-race, a root of g.;” Pocket Oxford Dictionary (4th ed. '52)]
Referred to as EATRIGHT® Gingerchoc's or, sometimes, EATRIGHT® Gingernuts in kiwiland. But, due to their softer texture compared with biscuit crunch, they are considered a "cookie" [coo n. soft voice] not another "OO" or "00" strangeness (Calcu-LATIN-g; Formu-LATIN-g; Re-LATIN-g; Trans-LATIN-g; Accumu-LATIN-g; Extrapo-LATIN-g c/- Inf-LATIN-g; Valu-LATIN-g).
Both fresh (raw, shredded, green-vert, protease I (GP-I), protease II (GP-II)) ginger and sundried ginger powder are used for their carminative, diaphoretic and other benefits such as ANTICATARACT activity (phytochemID: Ascorbic-Acid 350 mg/day, Curcumin, Cysteine, Methionine, Niacin, Quercetin, Riboflavin 15 mg/day, Selenium 400 ug/day, Thiamin, Zinc 30 mg/day).
