EATRIGHT® COOKIES: Gingerchoc, Gingernuts (Ingredients You Can Pronounce)

What can we say, they are divine. A good 'no nasties' product. Minimally processed, using naturally gluten free flours, vegetarian friendly, non GMO, GE free ... a no-nut ginger-nut [“(g.-nut, small cake of g.-b, Du. koek cake); g.-race, a root of g.;” Pocket Oxford Dictionary (4th ed. '52)]

Referred to as EATRIGHT® Gingerchoc's or, sometimes, EATRIGHT® Gingernuts in kiwiland. But, due to their softer texture compared with biscuit crunch, they are considered a "cookie" [coo n. soft voice] not another "OO" or "00" strangeness (Calcu-LATIN-g; Formu-LATIN-g; Re-LATIN-g; Trans-LATIN-g; Accumu-LATIN-g; Extrapo-LATIN-g c/- Inf-LATIN-g; Valu-LATIN-g).

Both fresh (raw, shredded, green-vert, protease I (GP-I), protease II (GP-II)) ginger and sundried ginger powder are used for their carminative, diaphoretic and other benefits such as ANTICATARACT activity (phytochemID: Ascorbic-Acid 350 mg/day, Curcumin, Cysteine, Methionine, Niacin, Quercetin, Riboflavin 15 mg/day, Selenium 400 ug/day, Thiamin, Zinc 30 mg/day). [A ginger family member] "estimated to contain 5,000 chemicals, all biologically active… 50,000 as technologies improve by 2020. Many medicinal plants in this world....spices average best medicinally often provably as efficacious as synthetic pharmaceuticals, and almost always safer and cheaper"; Reductionist Rant: Spice Therapy, J.Duke PhD, Botany, "NC" (pub. Dec'11).

The native bush honey ('LIQUID GOLD...a much-prized source') [†], like all New Zealand honeys (from registered bee-keepers and hives), are subject to rigorous standards and regulations. "Beehives are often located in areas where bees are foraging over vast and remote areas that are pure and [chemically] clean"... EATRIGHT® More [micro] Benefits in Every Bite™

Cocoa butter (a key component of the 70% dark chocolate) is “reportedly used in European tradition in combination with other ingredients for infectious intestinal disease, diarrhea; bronchial expectorant in asthma, bronchitis, irritating cough, and lung congestion; to regulate function of endocrine glands, especially the thyroid”. Monograph Cacao semen, Bundesanzeiger, no. 40 (February 27, 1991).

Ingredients: sound and clean certified organic stoneground flours (unhulled brank [XM13D1], brown rice [XM3XQ1]), certified organic unsalted butter (milk), 'proven origin' New Zealand beech honeydew honey [*], certified organic pressed, cleaned, crystallized raw canesugar with trace minerals, certified organic anionic lemon juice (spray free lemon juice XM7AS2 with dispensation if organic unavailable), certified organic sundried ground ginger [††], fresh ginger [XM1TN8]. Partial en-robe with "world fair trade organization" and "certified organic" dark chocolate ((cocoa solids 70% minimum [XM9SJ1]), cocoa liquor, cane sugar, cocoa butter, sunflower lecithin, natural vanilla)).

Vitamin K Deficiency [5B59]: "Vitamin K is necessary for the synthesis of clotting factors II, VII, IX, and X, and deficiency of vitamin K can result in clinically significant bleeding.
